INTRODUCTION
Tapiz Winery was built in
late 1999. Broad dimensions, corresponds to a modern architecture where
the environment is interesting, with wild natural landscapes, resulting
from a semi-arid climate with rainfall regimes that do not exceed 400
mm. year. In late November 2003, having been led by American capital
(Kendall Jackson), was acquired by the Ortiz family, wine lovers people.
They decided to start this project driven by an inner force that drives
them to position the product in different markets, internal and
external, changing the concept and style of development, making an
impression own fruit that distinguish each variety.
The winery has the latest technology and care focuses on the magic of
creating a wine. Its wines are intense, well defined, mostly elegant and
expressive character that is manifested in the fruit in the aromas and
flavors that are enhanced in a wine that rescues the soil. All wines
from the cellar are made with grapes from its own vineyards and grapes
from carefully selected producers.

They have 8000 French oak barrels. Staves are used in cheaper lines.
The winery has the latest technology and care focuses on the magic of
creating a wine.
Approximate capacity: 1.72 million gallons.
The vineyards of the house are divided into 4 farms, which surrounds the
winery Agrelo, plus other in Tununyan, Tupungato and Russel. They grow
Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Syrah. They
intend to plant some Cabernet Franc.
They have approximately 170 hectares of vineyards.
WINES
Its wines
are intense, well defined, mostly elegant and expressive character that
is manifested in the fruit in the aromas and flavors that are enhanced
in a wine that rescues the soil. All wines from the cellar is made with
grapes from its own vineyards and grapes from carefully selected
producers.

Zolo Line: Zolo Chardonnay, Zolo Sauvignon Blanc, Zolo Merlot, Zolo
Malbec.
WINE TOURISM
Tapiz Winery is open to the
public from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. at 4 p.m. The tours, led by
specialists, are free of charge and allows visitors to try different
wines, both those already bottled and directly from the tanks, offering
the visitor a complete experience in the art of wine. Only by
reservation.
Tapiz Winery has a lovely boutique hotel just few miles of it, where
guests can appreciate the art of wine.
