NAPA VALLEY WINE REGION |
Napa Valley
is the American capital of food and wine. The Napa
Valley is bordered by two mountain ranges—the Vaca on
the east and the Mayacamas, rising well above 2,000 feet
and bordering the adjacent Sonoma County, on the west.
Napa Valley is home to more than 300 wineries, and is
recognized the world over as a leading wine region.
In addition to large scale wineries, Napa Valley's
boutique wineries produce some of the world's best
wines. The Napa Valley is distinguished by the
extraordinary range of appellations and wine styles,
which range from rich red wines with soft tannins and
intense fruit, to spicy zinfandels and rich creamy
chardonnays. |
